Heeding the SOS call

Rustenburg – Linhleko Projects commemorated Nelson Mandela Day on 18 July by responding to the needs of vulnerable and orphaned children living at SOS Children’s Village in Rustenburg.

Citizens are encouraged to spend 67 minutes of their time in service to others in need. These 67 minutes are in appreciation of the 67 years that Nelson Mandela spent fighting for justice, equality and human rights for all.

It was a busy day for those who took part in the construction of walls around the homes that shelter the children.

Chief executive officer (CEO) for Linhleko Projects, Buang Moloto, and his team handed over toiletries.

“Linhleko Projects uplifts local communities through a series of projects including employment opportunities and supporting the vulnerable,” Moloto said.

“It was an honour to partner with SOS Children’s Village Rustenburg. It gave us the opportunity to contribute towards creating a conducive environment for the orphaned and vulnerable girls at SOS.”
